I was brought a spa day but when I tried to use it they said it had expired so lost the deal and the money. After I discussion on the phone and emails they refunded the money the deal cost into my Wowcher wallet along with £10 for inconvenience. This was in the December. In January I had a major eye op and was 6 months before I could actually do anything because of eye sight.eventually after confine to my house I thought would use it to have a night away and pay whatever difference, went to use the money in my wallet to it disappearing. Contacted Wowcher and they said they had taken it back because had to be used by certain time. I was fuming contacted customer service to explain I had op and was recovering for months as could not see properly but they said sorry no refunds
they have kept £126 for a item I never received even in my medical circumstances. What can I do surly they can’t just keep peoples money for items they haven’t had. Please help

Having had one voucher that ran out of time already, you should have been aware of the possibility that the same might happen again.
The time to contact them about your medical circumstances was probably when you were aware you’d have difficulty using it, not six months later so I do think you have to take some responsibility for this given that you were aware of the time limited nature of the vouchers.
Have you checked the terms and conditions of the voucher wallet to see what that says? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -
You imply they should take your medical circumstances into account, but did they know about them? Did you contact them when you had to have your operation? They may have extended the validity in the circumstances.
What were the terms and conditions of the credit? Have you checked that there was an expiry for the credit and that they've cancelled it in accordance with the terms and conditions? If they have, you're relying on goodwill again. It's no good fuming at them, you effectively had one warning when the first credit expired and they extended it for you.1 -
Wowcher wallet credit appears to be valid for three months only.1

Although I suspect there is a touch of poetic licence to that. For example, they will have a most likely have attended follow-up appointments. It would be unusual to have a major operation and then to go six months with no-one checking that it’s all gone okay.
All of which is academic. I

Vocuhers expire. Unless the expiry date was hidden from you (which it seems it wasn’t from the fact people have already said it expired after 6 months), then that’s on you I’m afraid.Seems like someone bought you the voucher before and then it expired, the company reissued it and gave you a £10 voucher on top. That’s very generous.Which has a good article for you - it’s all on their goodwill basically. If you let them know you weren’t going to be able to use the voucher beforehand you could’ve asked for it to be extended and they may well have done that. I know it was probably the last thing on your mind though, so maybe can try and tug on the heart strings with them, but it’s up to them.0
