Still dark but warm already - forecast is for another warm day.  Wash load in WM hope to peg out before work.

Misty start to the day here but warm already.

Dinner last night was salad and hot new potatoes, bits from fridge that needed eating up.

Short work day for me.

Morning all. Thanks for starting us off nmlc. 

Yesterday was phenomenally hot. I sat out for short periods. Today will be less hot and more cloudy, perhaps more bearable. I've got my aqua-not-cycling class which I desperately need. 😀

I'm running a bit late - I slept in!

Another glorious day in store, yesterday was really hot so I sat out after work and read for a while. The grass got a cut and the pots watered. Found more courgettes to pick, I think everyone is avoiding me now!

Morning folks and thanks NMLC.  The sun is late up this morning but due to appear shortly. It's forecast to be even hotter today. Yesterday was a bit too much for sitting out in and I was in and out all afternoon. I expect today to be the same. But I'm not complaining honest!!

Before the sun does get up I plan on attacking all the pots at the back and getting rid of all the dead stuff and cutting back perennials that are now past their best. The garden wheelie is almost empty so no excuses.

Morning everyone just hung some towels and bedding out it’s going to be another hot one although it’s cloudy at the minute of to work now back in at 4 tonight and it’s bacon scrambled egg a couple of hash browns and mushrooms that I need to use up so nice and quick that will do me enjoy this nice weather everyone that’s on holiday or just sitting in the garden . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Good morning, it's a grey morning here, but warm enough.
I've just been out looking at my plants, and watering a bit. The summer flowerers are dying back now. I'm trying to keep a hanging basket going for a bit longer, its sad to see them go. Though I usually plant a basket of winter pansies for the backyard, it faces south and is sheltered. 
We had  a quiet day yesterday, today is hairdo day.
Hope everyone is ok - thinking of the little ones starting nursery/ school. It's a big step for them.

Morning all

Lovely day here and it’s set to be a warm one, I’m off to pick Rob up this morning and take him to work I’m hoping we are not in the greenhouse today !

DD is off to Prague this evening so has today off, she is mostly packed just a few bits to put in this morning, big pup will stay with us.

Dinner tonight will be pork chops with some veg and some kind of potatoes. There is a wash just finishing which I will hang out before I go to work.

Morning all.

The usual heat haze is here so no doubt it will be very hot later on. It was baking yesterday but luckily our garden gets quite shady at the back, especially this time of year.

Yesterday we did our bus trip with DGS; the last one for now as he starts Reception next week so it will be half term and holiday care from now on. We all went out in the garden in the afternoon and managed to clear all the dead bedding plants from the tubs, which have now been emptied ready for a few Spring bulbs. The last of the plums have been cleared from the tree too.

Today I have an extra Community Larder shift as someone is on holiday. If there are some peppers there that would be great, as I need some to roast with the veg for tonight. DH is taking some stuff to the tip and then will come and help carry my shopping bags, as they get quite heavy some weeks because of the veg. I'll pick up some green veg/cabbage etc if there's any for my neighbour's rabbit as well. I leave it on her doorstep on a Wednesday so she knows it's from me

Off to get ready now. Happy Wednesday everyone.

Morning all it looks like it will be a hot one today luckily the awning is being fitted as we speak so should make the lounge cooler and give us somewhere shady to sit in the afternoons as the garden gets super hot . I am off to Ikea then costco will get a chicken and do a salad for tea other than that just a normal day

Hi everyone,

Just a quick one to say Esben enjoyed his first day at school nursery, he won't be going on Wednesday's usually but Laura didn't want him to have the break after just one day (she's paying for the session anyway) so he's gone in again today. He'll be very tired by Friday.
