Shared Ownership Fencing

Hi all
We have lived in our Shared Ownership home for some 12 years plus now.
As some of the fencing panels are, understandably, beginning to show their age, I am wondering if the other party in the shared ownership (Housing Association) are actually responsible for the upkeep and replacing of these as they were in situ before we moved in.
I have read somewhere that a part of the rent element we still pay has to go towards upkeep and maintenance of the structure of the property and this includes the garden fencing.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience or knowledge about this?

Many thanks in advance

    Where did you read it?

What did you get told by your solicitor when you bought about repairing obligations?

If the property is shared ownership, presumably it's leasehold.

Your lease will say what you are responsible for maintaining and repairing (such as the fence), and what your landlord is responsible for.

But if the lease says the landlord is responsible for maintaining and repairing the fence, it's very likely that the lease says that the landlord can send you (and other leaseholders) a service charge bill to recover all the costs.
