People not taking advice

Is it me or are we seeing more and more people blatantly ignore advice given.?
They seem to read what they want to read. Ignore what they are advised and then try and justify it to themselves.

How would you know, most don't return to tell the outcome0

I took the advice on here and I am so grateful.
I do find sometimes posters come across as really blunt which I did find hard when already going through an extremely stressful process. but I do understand why that is, when you say the same 100x a day as well. Also found the process hard to understand. Just bare that in mind. So many on here deserve so much for giving up their time to help others6 -

its a bit galling when people ask for advice on one issue, then dont give an outcome and come back asking for further advice on a different one

There's also a bit of expectation some people seem to have that the experts on this forum are going to do everything for them.3 -
It's because people are human and not AI and don't understand
The same happens with government. RAAC comes to mind
The same happens with some clueless Judges who don't understand

I also think we have a sub-standard education system to thank for the apparent lack of intelligence some posters manage to display. Whilst acknowledging that navigating this forum, even for regulars with years of experience on it, is not easy or particularly intuitive, it can be exasperating trying to hammer home basic advice, even if only pointing out which thread to search.
Couple the above with the often overwhelming number of victims of these unregulated private parking companies who are just dumbstruck when it comes to dealing with the justice system. No matter how clearly it is pointed out in the advice threads, some victims just appear to be unable to fathom how it works.
The lack of education about civil matters that are likely to touch everyone at one point or another in their lives, is proven by the posts of many victims. Not understanding how a CCJ can be given and the ability of thuggish debt collectors to bamboozle far too many gullible victims into forking out money to fund their scams is a prime example.
So, people not taking advice is only a part of the problem. Worse still are those who take the advice but don't even bother to come back and let us know how it went, successful or not.5
