Trying to contact Amazon .

I'm pretty sure I am not alone but I am trying to contact Amazon customer service which is proving nigh on impossible. There is now no more email access, you can supposedly use a chat bot but that keeps referring me back to a list of question none of which deal with my enquiry. I seems that Amazon want as much custom as they can get but will not let us the customer contact them.
Everything is automated with Amazon now  and they have discontinued email contact to their non existent customer service. If you dear reader have a problem or enquiry that doesn't fall within their preselected problem section then give up.
   Amazon UK you are useless.

I find with chat bots if I just type "human" or "agent" then it does tend to put me in queue to chat to a real person - have contacted Amazon in the last few months (April)  and it worked OK then.
  • Many thanks but at the moment I'm pulling my hair out with their incompetents.

Is there anything here of any use?

They suggest contacting them through social media.

    Good luck
  • I can’t log into my account and have so far made 5 calls to their contact centre. They keep telling me I have a sellers account which I do not. I am not receiving OTP to my mobile. I’ve asked them to close my account but they keep telling me to log in !!!
  • Amazon's chat facility is excellent. Once you answer the bot questions and say you need a human, you are put through quickly to a real person.

Ive found that recently.  I had a problem and went round in circles with the chat bot.  They asked me if I wanted an adviser and I got put onto a real person.  It didn’t solve my problem so I asked for a callback but they said that service wasn’t available  :D. I phoned them directly and, lo and behold, someone answered the phone immediately  :)

Got a problem with a chainsaw I bought. 2nd time I used it, it broke. Been emailing and jumping through their hoops since July. Nothing still not sorted. They are useless.

I agree that it's possible to jump out of the bot's routine, there was a button at the bottom for that. However, the human (I hope) I talked to wasn't helpful either. He just did the same routine as the bot (twice) and when this didn't work, simply threw me out of the chat. It's a return for a £10 device so not such a biggie but definitely not impressed.
