Morning all, not posted for a bit.Yesterday was full on minding DGS, we had a lovely day. Had our lunch at the cafe in the park & bumped into old friends of DS, who invited DGS tp play football with their lads. We sat under a tree and chatted for ages until the boys had had enough and needed a drink. Then he spotted one of his best school friends so they went on the playground until it was time to go. We walked past a massive horse chestnut tree at the side of the park that was being cut down. I remember my DM cousin telling me she had a photo taken of her as a child underneath it - she was 89 when she passed away 4 years ago so it was pretty old. We talked to the tree surgeons who said it was diseased, & they were cutting a beech down today as well
On the other hand it was so nice to have some sunny days for the 1st time over the school hols,& see the children enjoying our lovely park but DGS back today, DGD tomorrow.
For the first time in ages I put 2 wash loads on the line outside yesterday, a towel wash ready to go out nowI need to do an online order in a mo, dont seem to have much left in the fridge. Probably salmon tonight with salad.TA sympathise re the bus timetable- our 1 an hour first free bus comes at 9.57, or if I walk down the road for a bit a different bus comes at 9.25, grr. I like to get going early so sometimes I pay a pound to get the earlier one.Enjoy the good weather while we can, take care x

Morning folks. What a lovely morning though it'll take a wee while for the heavy dew to dry off.Yesterday I had a tremendous day with my friend. The boat trip was simply wonderful, all round Jura, Scarba and a host of other islands. Two whirlpools and some huge waves which were mesmerising. There was lots of wildlife too. I've done this trip a few times with visitors but never cease to be amazed at the place where Iive. Last night the sunset was like something from a travel show, I actually sat for a while in the car just watching it.My friend has travelled on this morning. I've been out to collect an onion tart and a venison casserole from the chap up the hill and then went on into town for a couple of things. I'm really tired after the past couple of days so will revert to type today.Happy sunny Tuesday to all.8
