Morning All
Another nice day on the horizon, just when I thought I could put away all my summer dresses they are needed again - what a lovely end to a rotten summer.
Your trip out sounded interesting Gers, you lost me at the boat though, I would have been as sick as a dog!
Have a great holiday hr.
Glad the rude one isn't coming back Ruby, could have been awkward. What lovely days you have for your guests.
Hope you get the support your little one needs dp1.
Washing is on the line although it's a bit misty at the moment but clearing fast.
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX9 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. The sky is blue and the sun is just rising over the moors. It promises to be another hot one.
I am going to get the bedding in to wash next job and get that out on the line. It will soon dry.
The simple job of getting the 9.30 bus to town to collect my meds didn't happen! I was tottering slowly down the hill towards the bus stop when the bus came up from the terminus and passed me. Grr I thought it had left early. But no they have changed the timetable. They have brought our buses forward 5 minutes. So us old fogeys can't use our passes now until the 9.55 bus. I feel there may be a mutiny!
DD came back from their caravan stay yesterday in time to be organised for the autumn term and then got an update from school! The concrete crisis affects their school and first day now next Monday.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and poorly loved ones. Dp1 I hope everything got in place for DGDs new school start and all goes well. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off nmlc
How annoying for you TA that the bus times have changed and you can't use your bus pass!
I have an eye test today, but that's all.
I have just read that 1st class stamps are going up to £1.25 from the beginning of October
Hope you all have a good Tuesday xx9 -
Morning everyone it’s going to be another hot one off to work in a minute DP1 I hope they get sorted for little one it’s such a big step and she does so well bless her TA that’s a con changing the bus times definitely making you wait all for the sake of five minutes . Gers I checked out the whirlpool yesterday as beautiful as it looks your braver than me but thanks for telling us about it it’s somewhere I have never heard of . I have a bit of veg to use up tonight I will do that with a shepherds pie I have taken out of the freezer so that’s the fresh used up ready to go away on Friday can’t wait . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Good morning, it's fine here, and warming up already.
Gers, sounds like you had a good day out !
Dp1 hope all will be ok for dgd.
It's annoying about the bus times TA.
I read that stamps are going up Iris, not that I ever use 1st class. I seem to send fewer Christmas cards as well, using 2nd class, which are expensive enough.
Usually I start buying stamps about now for Christmas, a book of 12 every month or so, it's less painful on the purse. It means as well that I always have stamps for birthday cards etc.
Hope everyone has a good day today, take care folks.9 -
Morning all
Lovely day here seems it will be a warm one again, yesterday was glorious and the gardens we visited were beautiful, it was much more peaceful without the rude one too ! Two people coming today and one of them has a Birthday so she has chosen bowling and Tim Hortons for lunch should be a nice day.
I have put a wash on this morning and will hang it out before we go, we did not have the fish fingers last night so that will be tonight instead.DD is off to Prague tomorrow for four days it looks beautiful there and I would love to go.
Gers that whirlpool looks fascinating I would love to go xx
DP1 I hope they get little one sorted out in time for school xx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning all. The usual heat haze is here so I'm expecting a fine, sunny day.
We actually put the new air con machine on last night as it was so warm. Had to vent it out the patio doors but it seemed to cool the room down nicely.
Today is DGS care so I expect we'll potter in the garden and then get the bus to MK. We can have a scone in JL then walk the length of the Centre and get the bus home from the other end. Might stop off in a few charity shops once we're back home to check out any jigsaw puzzles involving farms, as they're his favourite.
I have a meatball dish for dinner tonight then it's an evening session at the pub with one of my Morris sides. Hopefully enough light to do a bit of dancing and we'll then retire inside for a natter.
DH's new car was due today but it's been delayed a week to have some paintwork fixed. Actually makes it a bit easier for us as we're giving someone a lift to Dorset at the weekend so he doesn't have to get used to driving a newish automatic with lots of bells and whistles before we go!
Happy Tuesday everyone.9 -
Hi everyone,
I feel as if this is the first moment I've had to myself for a few days, there is always someone around and I'm a person who appreciates a bit of solitude, not like my sis-i-law who hates to be alone and schedules in so many activities, choir bellringing, ballet and tap dancing, stewarding at the local theatre, helping at a playgroup, making soup and sandwiches for lunches, theatre and cinema going, church volunteering and I know I've missed some. Anyway, Steve has gone to golf and it's Esben's first day at his new school nursery so the family has gone to take him. He was so excited, he refused to eat breakfast because he would be having lunch at school, I just hope he won't be starving mid-morning.
Not a lot is happening here this week, apart from the nursery, until Friday when the family go off to Wales and then we have guests coming for a few days so I hope the good weather holds until then.
Have a good day.8 -

Today is DS birthday but as he is 29 we won't be having a party i think he is off out with friends later . Morning everyone
It looks like it's going to be a lovely day - it was sunny all day yesterday and very warm, I had to sit at the bottom of the garden where it was a little cooler.
Thanks for all the good wishes for little one - DD and I are trying not to worry about it too much - little one will be fine as one of us will go across from nursery to see to her, but school has had months of knowing she was going into Reception and should have had everything in place. It's not a good start at all.
I expect I'll see them later - I have her new wellies to take down, as she'll need to take them in to stay at school. - though they'll not be needed this week.
When we broke up in July the children helped me scatter grass seed all over the bare patches in the nursery garden - it has grown lovely with all the rain in the last 6 weeks and we have loads of bright callendula flowers too.
Snoozer - I'm like you, much as I love spending time with little one I also love having a quiet day to myself. I hope Esben enjoys his new nursery.
Redruby - enjoy your day out, I'm sure the other clients will prefer the rude one not being there.
TA - that was annoying for your DD and the girls - they could have had another few days in the sunshine. Our schools don't seem to be affected by the crumbling concrete.
Well, I'll wish you all a good day x
