TRV valve help!

Seriously confused here. I figured I have 8mm pipework to my radiator. I bought what I thought was a 15 to 8mm reducing valve, the original TRV is 15mm. No idea what goes where, any thoughts?

You'd be better off with a reducing "olive" like this - https://www.bes.co.uk/15-mm-x-8-mm-reducing-set-17735/

Thanks I don't suppose Toolstation or Screwfix do something similar as they're right on my doorstep

Screwfix only seem to do the 10mm to 15mm and Toolstation none at all.

All of the above, 15mm or larger, and the smallest only goes down to 10mm. So no use to the OP.

It won't be pretty, but if you have an inch of 15mm pipe, you can join the two.
