Dishwasher “check water” light

Hi
we bought a new house and were told by the vendor that all the white good were just a couple of years old.
On the second time we used the dishwasher, the “check water” light came on mid cycle.
I removed the filter at the bottom and it seems to be clear. There was water selling in the base (a per pic). I tried adding bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar, then hot water and putting it through a cycle. It seems the water in the base is at a slightly lower level, but the light came on again mid cycle.
I pulled it out and pulled the drainage pipe out of the outlet pipe. Looking down the outlet pipe it does seem to be blocked with water.
on the last cycle I did hear some water going down the outlet pipe.

Trying to work out if this is something I can easily fix. If not, is it worth getting someone out of just replacing it.
any thoughts?

Check water means the INLET water supply. Not the sump/pump of the machine.
There mesh strainers on the inlet pipe. One at the isolating tap, the other where the pipe connects to the machine. They may be clogged with bits of limescale?
The supply pipe may be kinked.
Is the isolating tap fully on?

The same happened to our Bosch last week. I googled it and tried all the remedies mentioned. No joy. Guy a repair man in and he checked all the possible (repairable) items with no luck. Said it was the motherboard/controller and only Bosch will supply this and fit it themselves c£300. We bought a new dishwasher. He said you're lucky to get 5 years from them these days... Ours was 8 years old. He also said that Bosch are made in Turkey in the Beko factory. Obviously i don't know if all that he said was fact but he was a highly recommended chap.
I hope you have better luck.1 -
Thanks. When I originally googled it I got so many different potential causes. It doesn’t help that this machine doesn’t give a specific error codeRodders53 said:Check water means the INLET water supply. Not the sump/pump of the machine.

Thanks. We actually used to have a Beko in our last place. I seem to recall they’re rated very highly by Which and are well priced. After a (very very quick glance) online, it seems to suggest the energy efficiency is also very high on some of the cheaper models. Ultimately for me, energy efficiency and longevity are all I care about, so long as it washes dishesskycatcher said:The same happened to our Bosch last week. Checked all those and unfortunately no issues there. We’re in a soft water region too.Rodders53 said:Check water means the INLET water supply. Not the sump/pump of the machine.

Measure sure there's nothing stuck in the impeller.0

I'd certainly be taking it out of any recess and then apart a bit (removing panels) to look for crud and blockages in some of the internals. (You Tube may show you how for the exact model you have if you search.) I rejuvenated one Bosch that way. Left behind when we moved house.
NB Only some BSH group {Bosch-Siemens-Neff} machines are made in Turkey. Others are made in Germany.
Research the models you like / can afford and you can find out where particular ones are made. German made have a good reputation.
The model and serial number plate/engraving in the door of your current one will likely tell you where it was manufactured.
Beko are relatively cheap n cheerful and probably relatively noisy cf BSH or Miele. IF noise is important to you.
I replaced a built in Neff at circa 15 years old, due to the inside trays rusting, fairly recently... with another Neff made in Germany (it was on offer cheaper than a Bosch model I had also ID'd as German). Bosch make good dishwashers in my lifetime experience of using dishwashers.1
