Does anyone know if there is a technical support team for MCOL ? have a funny issue which seems to be happening more and more now and it can lead to not being able to access claims!
I think it may be more of a government gateway issue

I have tried several times but it is impossible to get in touch with anyone directly from their IT dept. Any technical queries are usually answered with the dumbed-down response of "What is your claim number?" which when answered, results in them still getting back to you several times with the same question but from someone slightly higher up the management food chain.

The only way I got anything back from their IT dept. took months and I am still not sure it was the correct answer. I had written my question for the IT team and insisted that whoever was reading the email should pass this on to them.

Eventually, one of their "people team" got back to me with an answer, but not in the words of the IT team, just their interpretation with some paraphrasing.

I suspect that their IT is handled externally, probably under some convoluted government contract. Probably some inefficient company who bamboozled them into accepting their software architecture which was out of date before they ever got it implemented, as is evidenced now by the substandard MCOL process.

    the issue is thus,
You register the claim and get the Government gateway ID
you then a few days later go back to the claim with the ID and it says the password is wrong
it then sends a code to the email address , you enter then and then re enter the government gate away ID, there is no actual password change , it then dumps you at this screen and you cant login it at all to the MCOL

I would suspect a corrupt cookie. If you get to this point, go to your browser's settings and delete any cookies relating to the MCOL website, quit the browser and then relaunch.

It could still be a corrupt cookie being generated by their system. Catch 22 though if you need to get in touch with their tech support (not).
