Morning all, it's been very grey this morning but now the sun is trying to break through. Yesterday we had a lovely time at DGS birthday "party" and Mr Fix It came home with some Amsterdam cheese, a coconut one and a beer flavoured one, neither of which floats my boat as I'm not a cheese lover, I leave that to himself and DD.
This morning I've stripped the bed and put the bedding in the wm and I'll hang it out when it's done. Then we're going over the van with some items, we'll take the cover off too and bring that back home. Once back home I'll be cleaning upstairs and re-making the bed. Tea tonight will be lo Chinese takeaway from yesterday. Last minute packing tomorrow morning then we're off, so I'll wish everyone well.
Take care all

Afternoon everyone
It's lovely and sunny here so when I've written this I'm going to sit out the back and enjoy it - little one will be up later for a sleepover. I've been into town this morning and had my hair cut ready for going back to work next week. Bumped into some friends in Costa so I had my hot chocolate with them and a lovely blueberry muffin which was free as it was my birthday yesterday.
I had a great day at Edinburgh Zoo with little one on Wednesday though I'm still feeling tired as there's a lot of walking - it was worth it though. She loved all the animals - the giraffes and pandas were amazing. Her favourite animal was a very weird looking giant anteater - she chose a cuddly one from the shop before we left!
The sun shone, she was very good and it was a lovely day out.
Yesterday was my birthday and I was out for coffee and then out for a lovely lunch with DD and little one - it was at a newish Italian restaurant in town. Also had a good chat with eldest DD in Germany - she's very excited as she goes to Bali next week. Then Sicily when she comes back from Bali!
Right I'm off out into the sunshine - hope everyone has a good day x8 -

Enjoy your holiday Nan, have fun.
Gers, I always think we'll start off at the same time as well, and hold off!
Glad you got the dentist over and done with Camelot.
Good luck with processing the industrial quantity of apples Chrisca.
Happy birthday Dp1, sorry it's belated.
Sorry to hear you had a bad night TA, I had one earlier in the week and yawned my way through the following day.
Hope you have a good day Iris, in fact hope everyone does .8 -
Thanks for the good wishes @ScarletRibbons I've managed to make 6 x2 portions but 2 of them I forgot to put the sugar in so they'll be a bit tart when we get round to eating them!! At least I remembered to write on the top of them so it won't be too much of a shock. Still got loads of apples left though!

Happy holiday Nan - I hope that the weather stays lovely for you.DP1 - happy belated birthday, lovely to hear that you and little one enjoyed the zoo. The wonder of small children is so lovely to watch. All my washing dried really quickly in the warm weather and wind. I only went out very briefly to buy some Vanish, after the WM was put on. I'm finding it really difficult to find Napisan which is essentialy the same product at a much cheaper price.6
