Amazon Seller account issues

Can any one please advise: I am an Amazon seller. I sell approximately a couple of books yearly, and recently I sold one which was quite an expensive one. My funds are held for about a month and then I get my disbursement.
I went onto my seller account and looked at the payment methods, then something very strange happened and the page went blank, then when it opened again, my payment method had changed. It had changed to an old bank account (ending 0060) I had which I closed in 2022. Bearing in mind that the bank account details on the seller account only show the last four digits of the account number (0060)
I looked how to change it back to my original payment method and thought it would be quite simple. However, to change your bank details (so you can get paid), you have to enter the whole of the account number of the one currently on file (0060), so you can change it to another bank account number. Luckily I do keep a record of all my bank accounts that I close. So I had the account number of the old account (0060), I entered it where the website stated, but got a message stating the account number was not recognised. This happened a few times so I opened a Case File with Amazon Sellers on 13th August 2023.
This is where the aggro started. I got messages from the Customer Services telling me how to change the bank account from (0060) to another bank account, but every time I tried to do so, I was asked for the old account number 0f (0060), which was not then recognised. I took screen shots of the message stating that it was not recognised, and sent it to Customer Services. They sent back the same instructions. Some times they thought it was a credit card issue and I had to send yet more messages to reinforce the fact it as a bank account issue.
This carried on for a while, then they realised they could not solve the problem so told me to call a number and ask for the Service Team. I did this but got though to Customer Services who said they did not have a number for the Service Team, but gave me a URL to fill out a form. Once I filled out the form, a few days later I got a message from Customer Service saying that I could not have more than one Case open for this case, so shut down the one I had just created.
As you can imagine, I was getting rather frustrated. I did call the number again, and after speaking to many CS personnel who were worse than useless, got through to Hans. He explained it was a technical issue and would pass it upwards. He did also email me to clarify this. Since then (16th August) I have had two more messages stating it is a difficult case and therefore I need to be patient whilst they sort it out.
Today I received an email from Amazon Seller stating that my disbursement (for the expensive book I sold), was going to be sent to my bank account (and quoted the last four digits of the account which no longer exists 0060)). I have sent a message stating that I obviously won't be receiving this money, and asking them what they are going to do to ensure I receive my funds. I am hoping that the money will bounce back into my seller account, but even so, I still cannot access it.
Can anyone help or advise please? As soon as this is resolved, I will be closing my seller account.

It doesn't look like a consumer rights issue.

It appears to be a technical problem with Amazon's back office which they are working to fix.

I am intrigued that you say 'Luckily I do keep a record of all my bank accounts that I close.' Many people don't change their bank accounts for their entire lives. Rather than closing your seller account perhaps you would be better not closing your bank accounts so much? You might have inadvertently triggered some kind of red flag.

Change your bank account as often as you feel like it but I suggest you don't rush to close them too quickly. We do  see issues here when people get an unplanned refund to a bank account they have closed. 2022 isn't that long ago, just leave dormant accounts to lie.

If the money does go to one of your closed accounts, contact the issuing bank. They won't just keep the money, you will get it eventually.

I tend to switch bank accounts for incentives, so they cannot stay open. Some accounts are savings accounts. The point I was trying to make there was 'thank goodness I do keep a track of old accounts. I wasn't sure what heading to put it under so I wrote it under Consumer Rights hoping someone would direct me. Thank you

If you used the switch service, then depending on how long ago the switch was, the funds if via bank transfer will be moved to the new account.
