Proof of no claims bonus

After nearly 2 months of cover. my new car insurer, the AA, is requesting a proof of no claims bonus on headed paper from my previous insurer, esure.  esure have sent me an e-mail confirming it, but trying to request a physical letter is getting me no where.  Their chat bot sends me to a phone line, which has recording message saying their systems are down.  When I log onto my esure portal, no details of my previous car exist any more.  Their e-mail address returns a 'simply log on and chat to us' message.  I am pulling my hair out!

Any experience / suggestions of how to break this vicious circle, or make the AA happy with the e-mail esure sent me?   Thanks!

Why not print the email off and send them that, it will have the email of sender on it to show the source

AIUI esure was set up to deal directly over the internet, hence the “e” in its name. Hence no paper. The AA must know this.

A PDF would be fine, that's probably what they are after.

All the emails I've had from the various insurers I use have their logos at least top and bottom, plus their legal blurb and their company email address, can't see any reason a pdf would not be acceptable.

Proof of NCD is normally your renewal invitation which certainly will say your NCD and be on headed paper (electronic or physical)

Possibly, but that came through more than 3 months ago and I binned it.

Can you still log in to your online account to get the electronic version?

Not sensible to bin your proof of NCD before providing it to your next provider... as an ex-customer you logically aren't going to be your former insurer's top priority.

I contacted a old insurer several years ago, after driving a company vehicle for 18 months I left and got my self a car and my old insurer where really good at getting my NCD form to me.

Given a 5 year old can hit the forward button and change what the text below the Forwarded line (2 years NCD becomes 20 years with just the press of a 0) they probably wouldnt accept just a text email. Admittedly PDF aren't much harder to edit these days but most are more comfortable accepting a PDF'ed letter on electronic headed paper.
