Wrong address on credit file

About 5 years ago, I got myself into a spot of bother with Royal Bank of Scotland overdraft as I was not able to pay it due to losing job and home. I was later contacted by debt collection agency by phone call.
I agreed that owed the money and proposed a payment plan that I could afford but let them know that I would struggle while also giving them my temporary address which was family members for mail purposes. They said they would put proposal to the bank.
I never heard any more about this debt but have now came to apply for a mortgage and have been informed that my application can't go any further without information regarding one of my previous addresses. The address is an address that I've never had any connection with but the temporary address that I gave debt collection was 179 Green Road where as the address showing on credit file is 197 Green Road.
How would I go about getting this removed? Is it likely to cause Royal Bank of Scotland to start chasing me again for the debt and putting a black mark on my file?

Raise a dispute to get it corrected with the relevant CRAs.
Your defaulted account should already be showing a default each month until the 6 year mark.
