can anyone recommend a 14 or 15 inch laptop which doesn't need to be too powerful as all I want to do is play music from it
a 500 gigabytes solid state drive for the C drive would be fine but I would like the ability to put a second spinning HDD of about two terabytes to hold all my music files
the reason for spinning HDD is simply cost and I don't need that performance of an SSD to hold the data files

You can pick up a 2TB M.2 for £60-80 so not really worth trying to save money, especially in a laptop where spinning rust is much more likely to fail.km1500 said:can anyone recommend a 14 or 15 inch laptop which doesn't need to be too powerful as all I want to do is play music from it

Alternatively do you actually need to play the music from a fixed drive, is it particularly unusual, or could you just stream it from either a cheap option of a service, or one you already have access to?1 -
hi i have a collection high quality so want to play it locally. Hadn't realised 2TB M2 were so cheap. Thanks0

Do you want a brand new laptop?
Or are you happy with dirt cheap used laptop? but that probably don't have 500GB SSD.1 -
used would be fine as long as it accepts a 2nd hdd. Thanks0

2nd HDD needs to be internal or happy with an external drive?0

It should be possible to replace the DVD drive in any laptop that has one with a HDD caddy.
