The one in the green box.
There is a duff batch of several thousand of these units with what is called the "White Screen' fault.
I don't know if any have these have been sold in the UK but they are causing the makers a big headache in the USA where I bought mine.
They work first time out the box, but the second and subsequent time they are turned on, the just display a blank white screen. They will only then work if you press the reset button and then turn them back on. The reset button needs something like a paper clip or ball point pen to reach it as it is recessed.
It is a hardware fault so has to be returned to the maker for repair/replacement, or replacement/refund at the point of purchase. There is no software patch that can fix this, it is definitely hardware.
There is a lot of information about this on one of the TomTom forums on the internet. Basically, you either have to put up with resetting the unit every time you use it, or get it repaired/replaced. How long the reset button will last if you choose the former is another potential problem.
As of yesterday the makers will still unable to identify the faulty units by serial number, but the above form members were trying to come up with a rough guide.
The obvious way to check is to switch it off then back on. The problem will be for those that have given these items as presents.
I'm about to leave for the airport once I've reset my GPS, then I will try and get it fixed when I'm back in the UK.
