Hi, my mate has asked me to get rid of OBFUSTAT.ABXY and BHO.CVX that AVG AV 7.5 keeps finding and supposedly healing. I have done everything mentioned in Browntoa's post on cleaning up but not only are the trojan horses still appearing but I also can't get onto the internet now. Also, AVG AS keeps saying something bad happened in the application and I keep having to End Now when shutting the machine down.
Here are the logs:

Try restarting your PC in safe mode (press F8 as it starts up normally and choose Safe mode) and then run AVG again. It could be that every time you boot up normally it runs something you don't want. If it finds anything then let AVG deal with it, then re-boot as normal. Any processes running that you don't understand/recognise - just type into Google as several sites will tell you what they are/do and if they are dangerous to your PC.0

Managed to remove ccApp but not the amstreams BHO. I fix it and do another HJT scan and it's still there. Most of the time when I try to fix it AVG comes up with the infection again. Would it make a difference (and be safe) if I shut down AVG and tried fixing it?0 -
go and manually delete the file, and then remove the BHO
you may need to delete the file in safe modeEx forum ambassador

Right, I deleted AMSTREAMS.DLL in Safe Mode command prompt (it said it was being used or write-protected when running Windows Safe Mode). When I try to fix it now it is still there but says the file is missing.
When I run an AVG virus scan it is not now picking it up but is still picking up the OBFUSTAT.ABXY virus in ATI2EDXXG.DLL0 -
to delete use unlocker 1.8.5 or 1.5.8??? - google itGOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time.

Thanks Browntoa - hope you had a good Xmas... after deleting the file (unlocker couldn't delete it so I went through the recovery console command prompt) I then fixed it and ran a virsu scan and it found it in four other file but it seems to have fixed them because another scan said it's finally clean! Do you know what the virus is supposed to do? Do you think the machine will be now able to access the internet when I take it back to my mate to try?0
