With Donald Trump facing several court appearances next year and knowing the crazy way his supporters react I’m wondering if next year may not be the best time to visit the USA. Anyone else thought about this?

I don't think you will ever find a time when Americans aren't behaving strangely. As long as you realise it's a very different culture sharing a similar language you'll be fine1
