How to find details from my credit files like when I started job, moved address etc ?

Having the most maddening problem recently when I apply for stuff like mobile phone sim. I get to credit check it asks me for information for verification like when I moved into address or started employment, opened bank account etc. This is apparently on credit reports somewhere.. It appears to have wrong info as a I keep failing.
So how do I get to see this information ? is it on my credit report ? Am a free member of experian but that only gives my score. Surely they wouldn’t have info like when I opened a current account or got my current job on my credit report ? Honestly the endless admin hassles of modern life are quite unbelievable, makes me think they dreamed this one up to get millions of file access fees from people.

Your credit report contains details of current and previous addresses, also details of any open or closed bank accounts, and credit accounts etc, you have opened, details are generally stored for 6 years.
Employment information does not appear on credit reports.
If you go to the three main credit reference agency websites, click on the link for a "statutory credit report" then follow the onscreen details, you can either view it online straight away, or order a hard copy in the post.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. This entire thing is clearly a national level admin fee scam that some XXXX dreamed up because of the drop in users of credit and hence credit services. Then they pitched it as security requirements to the firms that deal with them. Who remembers or even has the month and year when they opened various bank accounts from ten years ago, that information verifies nothing about my identity whatsover.0 -

It's clearly not.
Just go via the MSE Credit club if you're having problems.1 -
