Working out whether to Fix - calculator

Hi. I've been trying to work out whether to fix and move to the Loyal Octopus 12M Fixed tariff but I'm getting a bit confused about whether the MSE calculator is based on the July price cap or the new cap from Oct? I get the result that fixing is strongly worth considering but the rates seem to be higher than the Oct price cap.

The betting seems to be that rates will go up again from January.
I'm trying to make my mind up about taking a fix - with Sainsbury's Energy, which is a white label for Eon Next. I've just tried the checker and it says my offer is worth considering and is 4% less than the cap from July, so it looks as though it hasn't yet been updated.1 -
I think I'll wait a few days and hope it's updated soon1
