Hi,
I have been offered to fixed rates by EDF and unsure what to do, the first one is fixed rate until sept 2024 at £90 a month and the second one is £88 a month until Sept 2026 , both are for dual fuel.
Currently I'm using around £65 a month between gas and electric and last winter I was touching the £120 a month.
Should I take one of these or stick on the variable , any advice would be a great help.
Thank you

Hi,ignore DD, best to compare unit and standing charges prices.3
-
Do your own sums based on your last couple of years actual usage !
The quoted DD figure will include an estimation of your annual consumption, which should be reasonably accurate if you have been with EDF a while, but do check.
Think (kWh x unit) rate plus standing charges and see if that matches their DD0 -
For me, the EDF fixed deal was a no-brainer. For others it wont be. It all depends on your energy use, ratios and region.
