Hi everyone,
I lost a day yesterday to a migraine, still got a headache but not the same level. I was really annoyed because the family were out all day and I had plans to do some sewing.
Nate's birthday party went very well, apart from a brief shower the weather was lovely, the food was great and the cake Crystal made was excellent. We had got him a ride in car which he absolutely loved.
Esther has started crawling now so we need to be very vigilant, especially with Esbens small toys.
Have a good day everyone.12 -
Morning all, hope you're all having a nice BH weekend (or had an ordinary good weekend if you're in Scotland!
)
Yesterday we watched DGD football match, it was windy and I ended up feeling really cold. Returned home to feed the pooch & after an hour or so nipped to town on the bus to meet DB & SIL at the food festival. It was quite busy but found them near the music stage talking to people they knew so joined in the fun until it was time for them to go back home to their dog.We then had a bite to eat from the Greek stall,souvlaki for him,halloumi fries for me- very nice.DH wanted to bob into a pub we used to go in years ago, so had a drink then caught the bus home nearby. We didn't get chance to look at many stalls so are going back later, but more friends are going too.It was so nice to see the town centre full for a change.DS1 is having a great time with his car mates on their round trip to Scotland- back near the border now and heading back through Kielder forest, home later.I've taken some kebabs out of the freezer for tea. I made some stewed apple & blackberry ( all free) with a bit of natural sweetener so I could eat it. The blackberries have been sweet and juicy this year, but although there are still plenty across the road, with all the rain we've had in the last few days ( weeks,months...
) I think they will be spoiling soon.
Best wishes to everyone reading,take care x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)12 -
Morning everyone
I've had a long lie this morning, I needed it after a disturbed night with little one on Saturday night. I don't know how DD does it - I went to bed about 9.30, then up to do medication at midnight, then her alarm went off at 2am, 4am and then 5am - when she woke up and said 'Is it time to get up granny?' She cuddled in with me and dozed for a bit. I'm not really complaining as DD deserves one night off a week, but it's tiring.
Little one was as good as gold, we went down to mam and dads yesterday morning then played outside with her sand until DD picked her up.
Lots of chat about starting school - best question was probably 'will there be ketchup and mayonnaise on each table or do I have to put my hand up and ask?' - she may be a bit disappointed!
Nothing planned for today - might go to the park with DD and little one. If not I'm quite happy to have a lazy day.
Gers - yes I remember Sundays when I was a child - church then lunch - then nothing really unless it was sunny and we went for a 'run in the car' which was usually just as it sounds - a drive without actually going anywhere! There wasn't even childrens TV - no wonder I read so much - we played a lot of cards too.
Well my bedding is spinning so I'll get it outside soon. Hope everyone has a good day x10 -

Gers it’s just come in to my head for some reason it’s amazing what rubbish is in there but I remember them locking the parks when we were kids so you couldn’t play in them on a Sunday long boring days I hated Sundays then8
