Hello,

I opened HSBC account in 1990s. I have a few accounts including credit card account which does not show up on my credit report. I think this is due to the terms and conditions on reporting data CRA.

I am thinking to open Global Money account. Now I am not sure if I open this account will this mean all other accounts will be reported to CRA? May be because I am signing new sets of terms and conditions.

Has anyone been in this scenario?

Thanks

Hi not an answer to your question but, I would be careful of GMA at present, its new and has glitches. I have had one from May this year and it was very handy for EU  transactions ( I cycle a lot and carrying cash to buy a bottle of milk is awkward) but only this week I was checking my GMA account as we are going away to EU again shortly so put £100 in, blow me but it disappeared to 'BRL' which turns out to be Brazilian Reals! Seeing as I have never been to Brazil and it was a contactless sale, how? Seemed very strange that no sooner had I put the money in it went yet this is not a credit account. Anyway you can't 'talk' on chat about GMC unfortunately so went in to the branch on Friday 25/8/23 and they got hold of their fraud team, stopped the current card and would issue a new one. Reimbursed the money that was apparently used to buy a tyre and fitting in Rio, blow me down two minutes after reimbursement another Brazilian transaction went through on the new card! So as of Friday we were reimbursed, new card which I haven't got yet, and rescanned on the new card.

Not had a glitch issue or fraud issue with the GMA so sounds like your personal circumstances rather than anything HSBC based.

As regards the OPs CRA issue, HSBC could opt to list your accounts at anytime as you accept their new t&cs each time they update them by not closing the account/s.
