A question about oil filled radiators

    I don't heat the upstairs, except for underfloor heating in the bathroom for an hour each morning.
    That's likely to be costing a fair bit of money,and an hour a day,every day seems somewhat excessive,to me.
    You'll know your needs and house though better than anyone here,if you could consider reducing the time downwards instead of off your might still be able to make a worthwhile saving.

    Having a few more of your CH radiators with the thermostat on a low setting rather than completely off would be a much more cost-effective way of "taking the edge of the cold".  Typically position 1 on a radiator valve will keep the room at about 15 C if the room doesn't lose heat too fast.

    Only having a couple of radiators turned up, will mean the temperature of the return flow to the boiler won't have dropped much, so it won't run as efficiently (condense) as it could.... some one may be along with a better explanation of that, and the handy graphic.
