I'm assuming the £480 isn't possible for you so it might be a good idea to talk to a debt adviser for both a budget and an overall review of your debts in general (assuming there's more than one).  NationalDebtLine, Stepchange, CAP, Citizens Advice and debt adviser at some food banks will be very happy to help you.

You could also post on the dealing with debts board here with your statement of accounts (see the top post) and people will be able to guide you through budgeting and help you find a way to deal with some of it.

While you think about doing any/all of that I suggest that you inform Barclaycard that you cannot afford the increased payments and that you will continue with the minimum while you sort out your budget AND ask that they stop charging you interest.  I would then also ensure that you have a standing order set up at a high enough amount to ensure you are paying the minimum each month (assuming this is possible).  By having a standing order instead of a direct debit you are in control of the payment amount and you are sure to make the payment each month.

If the minimum isn't really possible then tell Barclaycard what you can afford and stick to that while you sort out the budget side.  All creditors would love you to repay everything and soon but they realise that sometimes that's not going to happen and will settle for a fraction.  Once a creditor knows that a budget/debt adviser is involved they are more willing to play along because they will take you more seriously.

Good luck and I do hope you can get it sorted.
