Won a Chargeback Claim, how to transfer ownership of car

I have recently won a Chargeback claim I started with my bank regarding a faulty vehicle I purchased. Throughout the entire process the car remained with the garage and is now listed for sale once more on their website. The logbook is still in my possession and still in my name and the car is still taxed. Section 4 of the Logbook seems to be the section I need to complete. Do I just fill this out and thus transfer ownership of the car back to the garage? Many thanks in advance.

Apparently you can deal with some of this online which would be quicker than doing things by post.

    Tell DVLA you've sold, transferred or bought a vehicle - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

And I'd certainly be cancelling the tax immediately too

Cancel your vehicle tax and get a refund - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Just a cautionary note to say that chargebacks can be reversed, do you actually mean a S75?

Although as the garage have relisted the car it would be hard for them to challenge the chargeback.

You don't need to cancel the tax, transferring the vehicle keeper will do that automatically.  By transferring on line you get an instant notification that you are no longer the keeper / responsible for the vehicle.

Complete the transfer docs mentioned above before the end of August or lose another months tax.

One part of the online form says "Is the vehicle being sold to a private individual or a business?
Do not use this service if you are selling the vehicle to the motor trade." Can I still do it online if I'm transferring it back to the trader it originally came from?

How long ago was the chargeback claim submitted?

There is more than one story on these forums of people misunderstanding the process, thinking they'd won the chargeback when the bank had simply accepted to submit the chargeback which subsequently failed and the monies were taken from their account again but based on the misunderstanding they'd got rid of the asset.

Or find retailer has engaged debt collectors to reclaim the funds.
