Do 0% credit cards still have upfront charges?

It's been many years since I last availed of a 0% credit card. I'm fairly sure there was a one-off fee of 2-3% and then that slightly higher balance was interest free.
Is that still how it works? The relevant MSE guide doesn't seem to mention it.

If you mean a BT card, then yes, some have a fee. More than previously.
0% purchase cards don't.1 -
MBNA is currently offering 0% on both balance transfers (to another card) or money transfers (to your bank account) with a 5% fee up front. There was one recently too that no fee but you were charged something like 5.99% APR for 2 years or similar.
I haven't seen any 0% deals without a fee for a few years.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards.
