Do 0% credit cards still have upfront charges?

Options
It's been many years since I last availed of a 0% credit card. I'm fairly sure there was a one-off fee of 2-3% and then that slightly higher balance was interest free.

Is that still how it works? The relevant MSE guide doesn't seem to mention it.

If you mean a BT card, then yes, some have a fee.  More than previously.

    0% purchase cards don't.

MBNA is currently offering 0% on both balance transfers (to another card) or money transfers (to your bank account) with a 5% fee up front.   There was one recently too that no fee but you were charged something like 5.99% APR for 2 years or similar.

I haven't seen any 0% deals without a fee for a few years.

Ah, that was probably my error. It was a balance transfer card I had before.

There are still some 0% balance transfer cads with 0% fees; I have a NatWest one.

You're not looking hard enough. I've had fee free transfers from Natwest, Ulster and Santander in the last couple of years.
