Mum's 2-year fix with Sainsbury's Energy (EON Next) comes to an end in early October.

I'm with Octopus and am aware of the ability to refer someone to get a £50 credit for each person when the new person starts paying their DD.

A previous thread mentioned that the other person had to have left > 12 months before being re-referred / rejoining. Does anyone know if that is still the period? I've looked on the Octopus website but couldn't see the details on this.

(Am considering whether to get her to stay with whatever offers Sainsbury's has - fixed or tracker - or getting her to transfer to Octopus. I don't think she'd be eligible to switch to Octopus' fix as that's for existing customers, and again it's not clear how long she would have to stay on the Octopus variable tracker before being eligible to move to a fixed rate if that worked for her).

Thanks

I am coming to the end of my Sainsburys 2 year fix (ends 1st October 23)

Sainsburys have offered me a fix thats 3.5% cheaper than the current price cap.
They have also offered an EV fix (no exit fees) that if I can shift alot to 12am to 7am will benefit me alot.

Maybe worth looking at their online account and seeing if they are offering new tariffs on the account page

Thanks for your comment - there are three 12m fixes offered to her, plus the variable rate, on her online account. Haven't quite worked out the differences between them, except that the one with "Smooth" in the name is I think fully online. But will get to the bottom of it!

Thanks @bristolleedsfan - really appreciate you digging that out for me. Sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees, so to speak!
