ESA/DWP expected phone call

I've posted previous about my OH claiming ESA for NI contribution only.

He applied quite some time ago and he had his assessment in Early May I think?? He's kept having letters since then to provide further sick notes, which we have done.

We were on holiday this week, one day he had a text to say DWP would call within 4 hours about his claim, but no phone call. The following day we had a second text to say they'd phone within 3 hours - again no phone call.

We half expected to have a letter when we got home, as I'm sure his last sick note is about to expire (another issue as unable to get a Dr appointment in any reasonable time frame). But also about this phone call.

Any ideas why they'd call? I assume we will eventually get a letter but this has taken so long we really thought we'd have an idea by now what the outcome was.

He is applying for the LCWRA for NI credits due to chronic bad health.

Sometimes they may ring to ask some questions (decision maker) before making a decision. Other than that it would just be a guess i'm afraid.

Just so that you're aware as it's NI credits only then LCW... WRAG (ESA) is all he needs.

  • Thank you @poppy12345 this is a side of benefits I'm really not familiar with
