British Gas - Laughable

According to British Gas I don't have an account with them even though they sent me an email a couple of days ago to submit a meter reading.
Tried logging in as usual, last month I was redirected to a different log on screen. This month nothing just kept going back to log on screen. After 40 minutes on online chat I was told they couldn't find me on their new system and I should contact them first of all tomorrow (pointed out it was Saturday) then on Monday .
Wonder if anyone else is having any problem?

I had no end of problems with BG who sent me a bill giving smart meter readings. I don't have a smart meter and queried it and they just kept saying that it was accurate as it was a smart meter
It was like banging my head against a brick wall. I left and moved to Octopus. It was the best thing I ever did.
