Personally I'd look at a chargeback with your card provider if the company won't assist, it's a completely different colour! 

Not in the slightest bit interested in diamonds but I'm sure they come in all different colours including yellow so the description of "diamond" next that image doesn't really mean much to me.

Unfortunately no, I don’t think I can return it as it is ‘personalised’ in that I chose the initials and the stone. I’m pretty sure they will stand firm on that but I have asked the question on customer service anyway on the basis of it not being engraved or a full name etc. thanks so much for the helpful advice!

It's been explained to you earlier in the thread why it's not personalised in terms of what the CRA would consider personalised, so as long as it's still within 14 days of receiving it (or if not, your first complaint was made in that timescale) then you are able to return it without giving a reason. If they refuse then as suggested contact your card issuer about a chargeback (assuming you paid by card).

Thank you siliconchip that’s really helpful - I did see that earlier and noted and yes I reported well within the 14 day period so should be covered on that front!
