Well we finally exchanged this week (3 weeks late!!) Not completing till mid September but at least that has given me time to sort out BT etc and do some more decluttering
DH took the fish from his old pond here to DMIL care home and they seem to be settling in well
Seeing the discussion about spam fritters there has been a programme on about 1970's shopping and some of the we ate (are still eating) They had Rusty Lee makiking some of the food including the fritters
This week they showed the old vesta curries although once done would not have been how I would have described it ( or Rusty)

Hello all, it's dry at the moment but the rain is due to arrive and stay all weekend, so it will be another bank holiday weekend washout.
Dad called in yesterday with a chicken, as you do, personally I think it was because I had told him off the night before. I had refused to collect his meds just because he wouldn't wait in for delivery and wanted look around town 😡 I told him in no uncertain terms that he would have to collect them himself. Then yesterday he tried to start an argument with Mr Fix It, well he was on a hiding to nothing there, so he went home. He'll be back again on Sunday for the day so I hope he's better behaved !
We were going out this morning but Mr Fix It doesn't feel up to it so I'll get on with cleaning the dining room and setting things straight in there.
Hope everyone has a good day whatever you're doing.
Take care all

Hi everyone,
Life is whizzing by. We were on Nate watch yesterday, crystal wanted to make the cake for his birthday tomorrow. I hope it turns out ok, she isn't an experienced baker and will be very upset if it's not ok. Thankfully they have an electric oven in their utility so she didn't have to try baking it in the utility room.
We had chicken shawarma and flatbread for dinner last night (recipe courtesy of the Recipe tin eats site, I'm a big fan of her recipes, most of which are delicious). Tonight will be fish and chips I think because I have 2 lasagnes to make for the party tomorrow.
Thankfully the hairdresser didn't find anything untoward in my hair.
Has anyone heard from Marie recently, how is her husband?
Have a good day.13 -
Afternoon everyone
I'm last today. My painter is finished at last and it looks lovely. I've still got some pictures to put up and then it will be all done. DD and little one are home from their holiday - I've just had a chat with little one - she says the best bit was riding a bike with no stabilisers and seeing a huge jelly fish on the nature walk. She has a very cute way of starting her sentences just now - she'll say 'speaking of' or 'I was just thinking' - it sounds grown up coming from such a little person!
I met my friend for cake and iced tea this afternoon (same cafe as yesterday) - boy can she talk! She had an excuse though as she has a new little granddaughter - lots of photos to admire.
Going to get tided up. We had a really heavy shower about 4pm but it's blazing sunshine now - I might dry the chair and sit outside for a bit when I've washed the dishes.
Oh Spam fritters - a definite yuck from me - I can remember getting them for school dinners x10 -
No you're not last dp1! I've been busy all day, DGS was dropped off at 9, I only found out he was coming here when DS rang at 8 so was rushing round. We've had a lovely day, playing games, having a visit from DB2 & SIL at lunchtime. Then we walked to the park and he had an ice cream, and a go on the fitness equipment, I'm glad it brightened in the afternoon. I did a bit of cleaning after he went as DB1 &SIL are coming over later. I fished some cooked mince out of the freezer and topped it with parmentier potatoes for DH, and I had Italian meatballs with a big flat mushroom.DH arrived home with 8 cooking apples from his customer, they have loads. I'd have picked a few blackberries with DGS if I'd known, perhaps I'll get a few tomorrow from over the road, there are still loads yet.Spam fritters - it's a no from me I'm afraidTake care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
