How can they justify the price difference . heathrow airport price is £1550.all in and from Glasgow international £3368. big difference.

Could be a myriad of reasons, also one could be a pricing error.
Can you posts some links to tell us the two examples you have found?
If both prices were accurate I would be flying down to Heathrow and going from there.

Holiday/flight prices are rarely based on distance. It is usually supply, demand and competition that affects prices. Where are you looking to travel to and when?0

Are your dates during Scottish school holidays?0

One word 'demand'.0

That could very easily explain the price difference. I have relatives in Scotland who used to drive down to Manchester Airport during the period after the Scottish school summer holiday started but before the English ones started. Even with travel and hotel accommodation they saved a lot of money.comeandgo said:Are your dates during Scottish school holidays?

They don't have to "justify" their prices. If they can sell holidays at a high price then they will, if not they will offer them at a discount. You are free to pay the higher price for the convenience, or get yourself to Heathrow for the lower price. Or do something different.rocsteadyeddie said:Hi new to the forum .I was looking at holiday prices ,found some But flying from the uk from the airport close to me is £1818 pounds more than one futher away and that is with the same holiday company. Coming from the West Country I've often looked at would it be worth it to travel to a city and stay overnight.I can get a plane to Glasgow for around £30 and the holiday would be a lot less from there than from Bristol. But the clue is largely in the word 'holiday' and do I want added travel, overnight stays both before and after the holiday. So I tend to be more flexible about where I go.However if there's 3 or more of you it could be worth it and more fun.
