Morning all, enjoy the long weekend nmlc. Glad Rob enjoyed the day RRGood to hear Steve's results Snoozer & hope the little pests are no more!Good luck with the VR Coxy.TA shame you missed the programme- perhaps you can you catch up when you get home. Taff & Florence I love a black pud too, DH not so keen. Mind you the scene in the programme where they are mixing the uncooked mix in a vat is a bit offputtingFlorence, I'm so sorry to hear your sad news & so young too.Camelot, that's shocking behaviour from the troublesome kids. Dp1 hope DGD has a lovely start to school life. My DGD is starting high school shortly, another big step, they have had the Year7s in this week to ease them in, getting to know the big building & staff. DS2 said she was tired and headachey last night.Nanny I think this is the 1st summer break I've not had to mind the DGC at some point, so haven't seen them as much and don't expect to see DGD as much now as she can walk to her Mums/ other Nans from big school, makes me feel a bit melancholy. I'll have to get used to it, they're growing up fast. Too much time on my hands
& I wish DH would make the decision to retire instead of doing a physical job that doesn't help his dodgy joints
- although he is having a day off next week so we can meet friends in M/cr.
He picked up the meat pack yesterday so we had salt/pepper pork stir fry, which was lovely, the rest all squirreled away in the freezer! My T order was delivered too, just an aubergine missingDS1 is going away for a few days with his car buddies on a tour of the Highlands, so hope the nice weather stays a bit, 1st stay at Fort William. Hope his car stands the strain.Right better go and do something, sorry for waffling on & if I've missed anyone- have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning everyone Florence how sad about young lady Taff I agree with you about appreciating life more when I look back at some of the things I tied myself in knots worrying about now I just do what I want as long as your not hurting anyone else what’s the problem life is definitely to short. We had a customer in yesterday who was travelling up with his wife and two young children from way down the country and stopping off places they intended to go as far as Alnwick and head back home they have been doing a old camper van up for the last year and they wanted some washing doing while they got some shopping in all he had left to wear was a pair of swimming shorts but they had thoroughly enjoyed themselves and said the only bit they hadn’t liked had been whitby because it was so busy and there was a couple of men been dragged apart because one had accused the other of stepping in his way on the footpath and it was turning nasty he said they looked to be in there 70s and neither one would back down and everyone was getting held up is it really worth it silly old fools . Well just finished my morning jobs going to have a sandwich and a cuppa before work just had a message my granddaughter has passed all of her exams with flying colours she’s over the moon so sixth form here she comes in September. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Afternoon all - a late drop in from me. First thing this morning I zoomed up to Oban to do a little banking and shopping. It's Highland Games day there, the start of it is a pipe band parade through the main streets to the games field. There's even more people in for it so I wanted to be in and out beforehand - and I was! I managed to park right outside the building society so didn't get wet walking to it. My shopping needs were few, my mostly lacking self-control kicked in.My night was very disturbed by the blooming bull bellowing for most of it.
Today I spoke to the farmer's wife (they were kept awake too) who told me that the main issue is that the bull is 'arguing' with the other two bulls in another field just across the track. Country life!
Florence - so sad about your colleague.Izzy - Whitby is another beautiful but busy place.Iris - happy haircut.Camelot - what kind of home life these children must have! That kind of language is learned.Ruby - I hope that you managed to give the rude one notice. The weather here is very changeable, one minute bright sunshine and the next wee ninja showers. There's been three rainbows so far.Happy rest of Thursday to all.10 -
Gers - I wonder if they're arguing about which bull the cows like best? x5
