PPC exemption expired and claimed prescription. NHSBSA unaware of this and wont take my payment.

I can't find a decent category to put this in but this seems closest. I have a 12 month prescription certificate which automatically renews. Earlier this year they stopped taking payments which I didn't notice, they wont give a reason as to why this happened and it is still active on my bank account. Nevertheless the error is mine for not going through all my bank statements closely enough. I have renewed but the backdate misses a prescription from ~3 months ago. I have tried contacting them to get a cost of prescription/ payment methods etc but they reply with a copy and paste template that it is not relevant. With HMRC, student loans, DWP etc they have ways to report over/underpayments each way and repayment options. Is it even possible for me to declare this and pay NHSBSA?

One reason for this may be your age,  if you have turned 60 in are within 9 months of turning 60 then your direct debt will automatically stop.

Other reasons include direct debt failure and not paid in full.

If it’s your age they would have written to you and advised you of this, however it is easily missed and you wouldn’t be the first to do this.
