I do not know if this is a thing but I am looking for a replacement laptop and it a ideal world I would like it to have these options.
Thank you
- Lightweight ( we like to take it with us when we go on holiday as we stay in AirB&Bs)
- Fast ( do not play games beyond hidden object type)
- Good storage
- Can download android apps ( this is the thing I am not sure it exists - I love the ease of apps but find the screen on most phones too small but at the same time do not want to carry about a large phone. I have a samsung A7 tablet but it has no memory
- I can budget for about £750 ( maybe a bit more for the ideal product).
Thank you

Chromebook?1

That's as good an answer you will get (and absolutely correct)flaneurs_lobster said:Chromebook?1 -
Chromebook is one answer.
Another is a decent Android tablet with a good case with integrated bluetooth keyboard and a 256Gb Micro SD card for storage. You could probably add them both to your existing Samsung tablet.0 -
Could you point me to a link that would show me how to do this because I have been on Youtube/forums and it says my tablet does not give me that option. I have added extra memory and tried to swap/save my existing apps to it but it makes no difference. I think it was under £120 so i am not sure it has those options. If not, I will definitely look at a Chromebook. Thank you400ixl said:Chromebook is one answer.

just be aware that Chromebooks seem to have a built-in obsolesence in that I only are guaranteed to have Android updates for a certain number of years

400ixl didn't say to use your tablet but to buy a better one with a keyboard case.edrushuk said:

I agree that a Chromebook or good tablet would probably fit the bill, but remember for Android games you can run Google Play Games on a Windows device, although not every game is compatible with that at the moment, or you can run Bluestacks which is compatible with everything, although it does tend to use quite a bit of battery life.0

On Windows 11, you can now install the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) to run Android apps. The problem is that officially, you can only install apps available from the custom version of the Amazon Appstore, which currently only has around 50 apps.
