Is my Smart Meter really dumb?

The meter doesn’t provide 48 readings a day. The default profile is 30 minute usage profiling. On the daily data pull initiated by the supplier the meter sends a return comprising of the midnight register readings and an XML file containing 48 packets of 30 minute usage data in kWh. Third parties such as Bright only get access to the XML data file.Reed_Richards said:
