Hi everyone, Sorry, I've been MIA for the last few days, it's been a busy time. At the weekend we were helping Chris and crystal with their garden, it had become very weedy because they haven't had a lot of time for it lately and the patio was overgrown. They are having a garden party on Saturday for Nate's birthday so wanted it to look good, it's much improved. On Monday and yesterday Laura and Brian were both working so we had the two littlies on Monday and yesterday I had Esther by myself while Steve golfed. When Laura got home we went to Steve's hospital appointment which was all good news. It's four years since he finished his chemo and at last his blood levels are all back to normal, he's been feeling quite well lately and has resisted some of the horrible bugs I've had over the last few months. Today will hopefully be quieter because L and B are both around and Esben is at nursery. I have a hair appointment at 2,00 which I'm feeling a bit worried about because Esben has had some little visitors in his hair (as has Laura). We all treated ourselves and I have been using the nit comb and found nothing but I'm just hoping the hairdresser doesn't see any. Laura was a bit shocked because when she told nursery they just said that they'd wait to see if they had a report of any more cases before sending out a message, it's no wonder they are rife. Have a good day12

Morning all, poor nights sleep for me
It rained a bit earlier but there is an odd patch or 2 of blue. Scarlet, nice to have a visit from family
Gers those Aberdeen Angus bulls are magnificent looking beasts but I hope he quietens down a bit.Camelot sounds like a busy day ahead then.Taff, hope your hair grows a bit soon if you're not happy with it!Iris enjoy your catch up, & glad you did dp1.My breadmaker is put away down in the cellar where I can't be tempted, did it last year when I started my low carb diet. The menfolk don't seem too bothered, although DS1 does like the rolls I made in it. I have a bit of bread flour in, just in case they have a bread emergency....RR mermaid swimming sounds interesting. Hope Rob enjoys it.Shame about the wind TAVery quiet day for me yesterday, apart from going for a walk I was at home, cleared a cupboard, and did some shredding. We did watch the prog. on the Pennines with Dan Walker/Helen Skelton on Ch5 last night. They called at the Bury black pud makers and had a BP throwing contest in the shopping centre where I often go on my bus rides, then went back over the hills to Yorkshire. Thought about you TA when they were near the Pennine Way, Ilkley etc. Lovely scenery.Right better get a move on, try not to catch a lurgy, sounds nasty. Have a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)12 -
Oh I forget about the Dan and Helen prog last night Rosy. I was watching Celeb Masterchef. Wish I had seen it. I watched it last week and enjoyed it. X"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9

I am in the process of completing my VR forms which need to be in by close of play next Wednesday. Scary but the right thing for me to do as I cannot bear the way the CS operates. Onwards!
Dinner tonight is burger in a bowl which I’m very much looking forward to.
Have a good evening all,
Coxy

RosyRed - we had some black pudding for dinner last night.
Up early today - I had slipped back to getting up late now Mr F is home. I don't think he was too impressed when I jumped out of bed at 6.30 and into the shower. We are so different - he is not a morning person and would stay up really late. I have started to go up to bed lately and let him join me later.
Finished making a doll and then went into town.
We live next door to a residential home - yesterday they were decorating the garden for an event today. It was so loud - I couldn't have the windows open.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Snoozer - hope the hairdresser didn't find any little friends!
We're not supposed to send letters out at nursery now so we just say quietly to each mum/dad/granny at pick up time. I've already told little one she'll have to have her hair tied back when she goes to big school. She has lovely thick hair.
Her mummy was delighted when, age about 6, she caught nits at Butlins - she'd had alopecia and her hair was just growing a bit thicker. She thought it made her the same as everyone else!8
