You said in OP you complained = complaint to NW.Equaliser12345 said:
That's interesting and exactly what I am concerned about.Nebulous2 said:My experience, though it was several years ago, was that Nationwide simply didn't deal with it.
They ignored my claim, ignored a letter before action, and ignored it when I instigated joint court action against them and the retailer. The retailer sprang into action at that point and settled it.
The only evidence I ever had that Nationwide knew anything was happening was that they marked my credit record as being in dispute.
Apart from a couple of continuous payments I haven't used the credit card since.
I think I'll raise a complaint with NW at this point.
Just simply ask then how is your case progressing. As depending on how busy they are effects the time take to action the chargeback.
Still plenty of time to start the process.Life in the slow lane0 -
No. Raised the complaint about the hire car company with NW. I could hardly complain about their lack of action when it is raised to them for the first time.born_again said:

I've asked 3 times and am told that it hasn't yet been allocated to a case handler. It's now been 6 weeks.1 -
When charging back via a card provider, that's not a complaint about anything as such, it's just initiating a claim - all the card company can/will do is to ascertain whether the criteria for processing a chargeback are met and to proceed from there if applicable.0 -
Terminology. I think I've explained in the post immediately above yours, eskbanker said:

All I would say if they delay past the 120 days. That is their fault & they would then be paying out if a valid chargeback claim.
Is this a debit or credit card?
But do look at the link I posted earlier & start that process as well.Life in the slow lane1 -
