Have they given a reason for wanting to lower the price?

No and I couldn't get any sense out of the EA either. She said they are hard to understand ( they're Indian) but I found no problem understanding them when they viewed. They seem to be saying that they can't come up with the mortgage but, seeing as the EA saw proof of finance for 170k, that sounds like rubbish.

It's the same in my business seling cars, when you sell to the pakistani/indian contingent, be prepared for a battle.

As you caved in earlier they think that you may go lower. We had similar buyers and the final straw was just before exchange of contracts when they insisted that I'd said that furniture and curtains were to be included.
I had completed the inventory properly and refused. They backed out saying they couldn't afford a £310000 house without them being included!
They came back after we put it back on the market and they had a short deadline with no more messing.
I still regret selling to them tho - they have since spent loads and levelled my old garden.
Spring is here soon - tell them to get lost and remarket.

We told them to get lost and remarketed. They came back and signed on the dotted line on Friday. So we're moving in a fortnight :j .
Thanks for the words of wisdom.
