Alliance Parking Notice to keeper

I have just received a NTK from Alliance Parking for Harlan Bay car park in Cornwall. It is for the 9/8/23 and for the 1 hour 22 minutes stay with in the car park. It has photos of my car entering and leaving, of which you are not clearly able to see who is driving. 

To pay for parking you enter your car reg and declare an amount of time you intend to stay before paying, then a paper ticket is issued for display on your dashboard. Of which I did do this and received a paper ticket (I am no longer in possession of it sadly). I paid for 2 hours at £1.50 with Apple Pay on my phone and then left after 1 hour & 22 minutes of which the cameras in the car park have picked up on. 

I later that day received a notification on my phone to say that the payment was declined was already having a notification that the payment had gone through and a parking ticket issued. I assumed that as the ticket had been issued there wouldn’t be any issue and at this point I had been gone a couple of hours give or take, so thought that it would be fine. Clearly not! Also as the payment was declined by my bank later that day there is now no record on my bank statement of the initial payment nor that it was declined.

I am going to send the pre-drafted text on the newbies page and start an appeal but before hand wanted to see if there was any advice available on things that might be worth mentioning or not?

Are you SURE your bank declined it and that it wasn't that the Merchant declined it at their end?  Ask your bank to track the failed transaction and check what happened, and to confirm the answer by email because you need it as evidence.

NOT A SINGLE PERSON HERE PAYS ALLIANCE.  Truly a horrible parking firm IMHO.
