Pub car park private parking fine

I entered the pub car park for a very short period of time to use the electric car charger and have received a PCN. After establishing that the charger was not working I left. This was after a phone call to the charging company to see if it could be fixed. Because the charger was unusable I left the car park straight away after exactly 20 mins.
The car park was pretty much empty at this time so I was unaware there was any charge for the parking. Car park is managed by Euro Car Parks.
Grateful for any assistance with this PCN as I have an £85 fine for what I consider to be unreasonable. If the charger had worked I'm sure I would have paid for the charging time and probably had a pint in their pub...

The answer (which you will find in the NEWBIE sticky, which everyone is asked to read first) is Plan A, complain to the landowner, presumably, in this case, the Pub. After that, read the rest of the advice.2
