Hi all. Missus came across a couple of the old Clydesdale £20 notes this morning in one of her bags. Can these still be taken into a bank branch such as TSB who we bank with and be exchanged for the new polymer notes? I ask here since it's bit of a trek to actually get to one of the banks we use so hoping not for a wasted journey. Tia.

If you have an account with the bank it should not be a problem although you may be asked to pay them into your account (then withdrawn again if you wish).1

Scottish old issue banknotes are not abruptly withdrawn from use in the same way as inconveniently imposed by the Bank of England, so you could well find that they are still valid for use in shops (where accepted), supermarket checkout machines, ATM deposit etc, as well as payment into your bank account at the counter.
