Missed payment - impact on insurance premium

I'm hopefully coming to the end of a five-month battle with Three that's seen them register a missed payment on my credit file for a debt that didn't exist. They've agreed to remove it - though from their past history I'm not taking that for granted until it happens - but in the meantime, my car insurance is coming up for renewal at the end of next month.

I'm aware that credit history can impact on insurance premiums, but should I be concerned about a significant impact from this (false) missed payment? I've never missed payment on any credit, so this will be a single instance.

I've been promised removal within 30 days, which means that it should be gone before my insurance renewal date, but it may still be there at the 21-day sweet-spot for low premiums.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

One missed payment isn't going to impact an insurance premium, who has told you that?
What it MIGHT affect is if insurers want to offer you monthly payments or not but that's entirely different. Nor is that money saving given monthly premiums cost more than paying it up front in one go.

Thanks. I wouldn't be looking to pay in instalments, but in terms of sources, a few such as https://www.comparethemarket.com/car-insurance/content/do-car-insurance-providers-do-credit-checks/

Your credit score could impact the cost of your car insurance. If you have a poor credit history, you may pay more for car insurance. That’s because insurance providers consider people with bad credit more likely to make car insurance claims.

One missed payment will have absolutely no impact on that whatsoever.
I have never had an insurer do a full credit check. Plenty of soft checks, yes, but that's usually for identity purposes.

Fair enough, thanks. I've never previously had any concerns about my credit record, so wasn't sure how concerned I should be in this context.
