eSim for Japan

I am visiting Japan for 2 weeks with my wife in September
There are a lot of differing recomendations on eSims for Japan.
ubigi uses NTT DoCoMo as its carrier and was my first choice
Airalo and Nomad are also mentioned.
Without better information I was planning to use ubigi on my iPhone 11 and Airalo on my wife's to spread the risk as all eSim providers have a considerable number of negative comments
Does anyone have experience in Japan?
Any help would be gratefully received

E-Sims if your phones have that capability - Arola.https://anyfi.jp/ £22 for 1 week. if you do rent a wifi hotspot thing, both of them can connect to it at the same time. And they are usually unlimited.
Or just use the free wifi, it's available throughout the city and on public transport.
Question for you, we're in Lincolnshire and my lad and friend are looking at flying out In Sep too! Are you able to tell me where you are flying from and to and what the costs were please? They have no idea

I normally go into Yodobashi Camera and buy one of their Ijima SIMs. I think they support eSIM as well.0
