PIP Review Received PA3

Hi guys,

I need some advice i am PiP daily living rate for two years recently they asked for light touch review.

I have long term depression social anxiety and also diagnosed Autism ASD in 2014.

Two weeks ago i got a call from assessor asked me few questions. After that i requested assessor's report which i received today.

According to assessor's report she recommended 14 points on care component and 10 points on mobility.

Just wondering what would be the outcome. Do DM makers go with assessor's recommendations or they make decision on their own.

Thanks

The DWP Decision Makers are typically very lazy (or too short on time) and will simply go along with the healthcare professional's report... so much so that they can even copy clear errors from it. So I would suggest chances are the decision will reflect that report and they also will probably go along with the prognosis (I believe the DWP DM typically adding on 12 months to enable a 'review year period'). Expect a decision in coming weeks to be enhanced daily living and standard mobility but obviously caveat that the DWP DM can and should use their own mind and scrutiny of evidence.

If the decision determines (not clear if relevant to you but very possible given the points and illnesses referred to) specifically the descriptor for Mobility Activity 1 "Cannot undertake any journey because it would cause overwhelming psychological distress to the claimant" applies to you then you would automatically qualify for a blue badge should you apply to local authority for one.

It wouldn't have been a light touch review. It would have been a normal receive which would have been the AR1 form that you received. You had a paper based assessment, which isn't a light touch review.

Light touch reviews apply to those that have 10 year on going awards only and none of those have been completed yet. For those they will send out the new AR2 form.

The assessor recommended point (e) on planning and following journey.

Update: Hi guys i just checked pip automated system and the amount now they paying is 407. Which is most likely enhanced rate but seems like the DM maker decided not to give mobility allowance?

The automated payment line has been know to give incorrect information so i wouldn't rely on that too much.

As above... I wouldn't read too much into that not least since it is very possible no decision is yet made... I presume this is what you would normally get. It can take weeks from the assessment to get a decision and I would wait for that now in post.

Right now i am on standard daily living allowance for two years and no mobility so the monthly allowance is £273 which I usually hear on pip automated system when ring pip.

Now the automated system says new pip payment is now £407. Anyways as you guys suggest lets wait and see. Thanks

Hmmm... that would equate to enhanced daily living... but there may be another explanation.. just going to need to wait for decision I guess.

Hi I know this is late but what were your final awards as I’ve just had my payment changed to the same amount from standard daily living to enhanced but my assessment letter awarded 20 points for mobility…
