Contribution towards care after switching to Direct Payments

Options
My mother pays around £90 a week to the Council, as a contribution towards her care, following financial assessment as the Council manages the costs of her care to her current home care provider, that was sourced by the Council in April 23.

However, for mum to remain with the same care provider, as is her wish, we now have to switch to Direct Payments (DP) as the Council are changing their list of care providers.

Mum's care package will remain the same following the switch to DP.

Are there any circumstances where the Council can ask mum to pay more towards the costs of her care following a switch to DP?
