GroupNexus Parking Charge

Hi All

I recently received a parking charge through the post.
GroupNexus claims that I had parked the overnight ie 22hr 19min at a retail car park ie. by way of their a ANPR cameras capturing me entering on an afternoon and leaving the next day.
True - I did enter the retail park but i definitely left on the the same day before 3 hour free parking limit. Also I did visit the the retail park the day after.
Either the ANPR cameras didn't pick things up properly or the operator went through the clips and selecting images to make up a parking charge - as essentially it is their made up charge against my word.
I am a frequent visitor to that retail park and I only live a few minutes drive from there - there  is absolutely no reason why I should leave my car overnight there!!

Can anybody offer some help or advice please?
Should I add anything extra to the standard appeal template  as it doesn't seem to mention ANPR?
Attached is the parking charge .

Many thanks

Thanks CM - that's very helpful!

Just to be on the safe side - do I still need to add the first first 2 paragraphs of the standard  template or just go straight to stating it is a case of double dipping and demand it to be cancelled (quoting your wording from your link :))
Then it'll be the case for the waiting  POPLA appeal process....

Either will suffice. The important thing is to demand that this spurious charge is cancelled.

If you have proof that the vehicle left and returned such as dashcam footage or mobile 'phone location data or vehicle "black box" location tracking then say so (but save the proof for PoPLA).

You should of course also complain to the landowner and your MP, ideally before you appeal.

Thanks - unfortunately sods law I don't have the dashcam or location data but I can get witness statements that I did indeed leave the car park between those times.
From the signage it says managed and operated on behalf of Savills by CP Plus Ltd, T/A GroupNexus.
Not sure if complaining to Savills will be fruitful as I believe that they are some big estate agent....but maybe worth a punt.
Some digging up reveals this operator in this retail park is notorious for issuing double dip charges - there was an article on it in the local paper last year.

We have found (evidence on the forum) that Savills have been helpful to posters in the past.  Search the forum for "Savills" without the speech marks.
