no hot water or heating help please!!!!

my bedroom rad wasnt working and thought it might need bleeding. last night we bled it but still not working. now there is no hot water or heating. the red warning light is on on bolier(sabre).



can anyone help us... really worried as just b4 xmas

Do you know what kind of boiler it is, such as combi or conventional. I'm no expert but it might help someone else answer- corgi guy will know for sure!

its a combi boiler . had a look at above link thanks. the is no pressure atall. the dial is at 0.......

have tried this and seems to be working ok now.....

only thing is my red line is at 3 bars have only done it to 1 bar should i go right upto 3 bars od pressure.....

tje link say most need 1 bar.

If it is working at 1 bar I would leave it at that for now.

Many combi's are 1 bar cold, but rise when they are heating.

When your combi is cold, say off for a few hours, pressure in the system is generally around 1Bar. Normally within the green. When you put the heating on the pressure will build up because the water is expanding as it is getting warmer and you should see a rise in pressure. It didn't work before because you had no pressure, if the pressure continues to rise check you have closed the filling loop totally tight, even open a tiny bit will continue to send a trickle into the boiler.

Try to set it at 1.2Bar when cold since it could auto shut-off at less than 1.0Bar. Don't set above 2.0Bar and ideally less than 1.5Bar
