Training is stimulation. Games - go find. Teaching her to ring a bell. Finding the treat under a cup. Bringing something to you.
They are clever dogs and there are lots of ideas online.
I could only do things with about 30 seconds/a minute with my rescue before he got bored so we had to mix it up a lot, but even in short bursts it really does help.

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Great thanks I really wasn't sure,

Anyway I spoke to a few of my neighbours and made them aware and they seem fine, the neighbour who saw people at door when they came round asked me what happened and I explained the lead broke and the kids were chasing pup to play with her which is when the incident happened before I had chance to pick pup up.

She is a clever dog, she tries to pull my keys out of my door when I go out and if its raining she jumps at my jacket, she knows its bedtime when I click shut down on pc even though the fan speed doesn't change, she just knows certain sounds and actions and when I taught her paw and play dead she did it within literal minutes.

Thats one thing I haven't done for a long time, I used to use food time to train her and then around supper time I would give her a few small treats to make her relax and train more.

She should have been at trining as soon as she had had her vaccinations and was allowed out.

If she was 20 weeks last December, she is not a puppy any more, she is a 1year old dog.

People are more tolerant of a puppy than a fully grown dog.

Puppies don't 'grow out of it'

You need to research mental stimulation for dogs. Border collies need plenty to use their brains. particularly ones from a working background , such as farms.

Physical exercise only makes them fitter and need more exercise.

A walk in the woods on a lead is not sufficient exercise/ stimulation  for a border collie.

I think you need to research when a collie becomes mature

    There are some ideas here:
    https://www.barclondon.com/blogs/dog-training-behaviour/brain-games-for-dogs

    snuffle mat

One very useful command to teach her is 'behind'.
A friend has border collies (& others)  and she always trains this so that if they are out (and off lead)  and someone/ something approaches  she tells them to go behind. She will deal with the problem, not them. That particular friend trained several of her dogs for heelwork to music (& competed & judged it at Crufts) The dog learns a complex routine-

Have a look at Mary Ray on YouTube to see what a collie can do
They are very intelligent dogs which is why they need brain work, otherwise destructive actions may result from boredom

    but note:
Border Collies have a constant need to be busy

Border collies can be very restless dogs. They have the need to want to do something and are often described as "jittery." Being able to constantly mentally and physically drain these dogs can prove to be quite challenging.

I didn’t say ‘mature’. Physically she is grown dog. She will be mature around 2 years. Some dogs don’t mature until
later and some never mature but they are still dogs, not puppies.
